چکیده

We report the first measurement of sub-Doppler molecular response using a frequency comb by employing as probe in optical-optical double-resonance spectroscopy. use $3.3\text{ }\text{ }\ensuremath{\mu}\mathrm{m}$ continuous wave pump and $1.67\text{ to detect transitions $2{\ensuremath{\nu}}_{3}$ $3{\ensuremath{\nu}}_{3}$ bands methane with $\ensuremath{\sim}1.7\text{ }\mathrm{MHz}$ center accuracy. These measurements provide verification accuracy theoretical predictions from highly vibrationally excited states, needed model high-temperature spectra exoplanets. Multiplexed sub-Doppler spectroscopy with an optical frequency comb.

An optical frequency comb generated with an electro-optic phase modulator and a chirped radiofrequency waveform is used to perform pump-probe spectroscopy on the D1 and D2 transitions of atomic potassium at 770.1 nm and 766.7 nm, respectively. With a comb tooth spacing of 200 kHz and an optical bandwidth of 2 GHz the hyperfine transitions can be simultaneously observed. Interferograms are recor...

Optical frequency comb spectroscopy.

Optical frequency combs offer enormous potential in the detection and control of atoms and molecules by combining their vast spectral coverage with the extremely high spectral resolution of each individual comb component. Sensitive and multiplexed trace gas detection via cavity-enhanced direct frequency comb spectroscopy has been demonstrated for various molecules and applications; however, pre...

Precision spectroscopy using a partially stabilized frequency comb.

We present a simple method for precision spectroscopy using an optical frequency comb. One mode of a 1 GHz repetition rate mode-locked Ti:sapphire laser is offset-locked to an Rb-stabilized diode laser. This partially stabilized frequency comb stays locked, unattended, for hours at a time. Using the measured offset frequency and repetition rate, we calculate the frequency of each comb mode with...

Frequency comb velocity-modulation spectroscopy.

We have demonstrated a new technique that provides massively parallel comb spectroscopy sensitive specifically to ions through the combination of cavity-enhanced direct frequency comb spectroscopy with velocity-modulation spectroscopy. Using this novel system, we have measured electronic transitions of HfF⁺ and achieved a fractional absorption sensitivity of 3×10⁻⁷ recorded over 1500 simultaneo...
